What is e.p.t.q.?
e.p.t.q. is a Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid filler, or HA Filler.
HA helps retain water and add volume. When injected into an appropriate layer and location, it can fill sunken areas and folds or adjust facial proportions for greater balance.
There are 3 main formulations: S100, S300 and S500. Firmness and Cross-link levels differ, allowing selection from soft, detailed work to treatments needing greater shape retention and structural support.
Formulations sold in Thailand contain Cross-linked HA 24 mg/ml + Lidocaine 0.3%, with 1.1 ml per syringe.
Which e.p.t.q. formulations are available?
e.p.t.q. S100

S100, in the green box, is the softest of the 3 formulations. It suits areas needing detailed treatment and natural blending with tissue.
The product is designed for the Superficial to Mid Dermis, so it is often chosen when a very firm gel is not needed.
Commonly selected areas include:
- Under-eyes
- Forehead
- Temples
- Fine lines
- Lips
- Areas needing soft, natural-looking filling
Approximate duration: 6–9 months, with actual duration varying by area and individual.
e.p.t.q. S300

S300, in the orange box, is a medium-grade gel offering elasticity and shape retention. It suits folds and volume restoration where more structure than S100 is needed.
The product is designed for the Mid to Deep Dermis.
Commonly selected areas include:
- Nasolabial folds
- Hollow cheeks
- Temples
- Forehead
- Marionette lines
- Lips
- Areas needing a moderate amount of added volume
Approximate duration: 9–12 months
e.p.t.q. S500

S500, in the blue box, has the highest Cross-link level and firmest gel of the 3 formulations.
Designed for Subcutaneous or Supraperiosteal injection, it suits treatments needing greater definition or structural support.
Commonly selected areas include:
- Chin
- Jawline
- Anterior cheeks
- Deep folds
- Temples at the appropriate layer
- Areas needing greater Projection or facial definition
Approximate duration: 12–15 months
How do S100 / S300 / S500 differ?
To put it simply:
S100
The softest gel, for detailed work and areas needing natural blending.
S300
Medium firmness, for both filling folds and restoring volume.
S500
Firmer gel with greater shape retention, for definition and structural contouring.
S500 is not inherently better than S100 or S300. Selection should match the injection area and desired shape.
What is 2CM Technology?
e.p.t.q. uses 2CM Technology in the Hyaluronic Acid Cross-linking process.
The technology combines Physical Crosslinking and Chemical Crosslinking to create gel elasticity and stability while controlling the amount of Cross-linker used.
The manufacturer states that e.p.t.q. has a MoD, or Modification Degree, of approximately 1%, one of the brand’s areas of focus in product development.
What is MoD?
MoD, or Modification Degree, indicates the extent of HA structural modification through Cross-linking.
HA fillers require Cross-linking so the gel remains in tissue longer than HA that has not been Cross-linked.
For e.p.t.q., the manufacturer designs the process to achieve a low MoD of around 1% while retaining the desired gel properties.
Does e.p.t.q. contain Lidocaine?
Yes.
Formulations sold in Thailand contain Lidocaine 0.3% within the filler to help reduce discomfort during injection.
Tell your doctor before treatment if you have ever been allergic to Lidocaine or local anaesthetics.
Where can e.p.t.q. be used?
Formulations can be selected for different facial areas, such as:
- Under-eyes
- Forehead
- Temples
- Lips
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
- Hollow cheeks
- Anterior cheeks
- Chin
- Jawline
- Volume-loss areas
The same formulation should not necessarily be used everywhere: areas needing softness and areas needing structural shaping require different gel textures.
Who may e.p.t.q. suit?
It may suit people who:
- Have sunken facial areas or volume loss
- Have noticeable facial folds
- Want under-eye, temple or midface filling
- Want to add volume or refine lip shape
- Want to refine the chin or jawline
- Want an HA Filler that can be dissolved if necessary
- Want filler firmness suited to each area
How long does e.p.t.q. last?
Common clinical reference ranges are:
These ranges are reported consistently by several sources using e.p.t.q. in Thailand. However, JETEMA does not specify a fixed duration in months for each formulation in its current product information, so the figures are estimates rather than guaranteed results.
Actual duration also depends on:
- Variant used
- Injection site
- Injection layer
- Amount used
- Movement in the area
- Individual metabolism
Frequently moving areas, such as the lips, may break down filler faster than areas where firmer gel is used for structural support.
Can e.p.t.q. be used under the eyes?
S100 is often chosen for areas needing a soft gel, such as under the eyes.
Several factors must be assessed before under-eye injection, including trough depth, eye bags, skin thinness and existing swelling.
Not everyone with dark circles or eye bags is therefore suited to filler.
Can e.p.t.q. be used for the lips?
Yes. S100 and S300 are often used for the lips according to the treatment needs.
A softer gel may be chosen when softness and fine detail are the focus.
For more volume or a more defined shape, the doctor may choose another gel grade according to the original lips.
Can e.p.t.q. be used for the chin?
Yes. The chin usually needs greater shape retention than highly mobile areas.
S500 is therefore often chosen when greater Projection or refinement of chin and jawline proportions is needed.
Can e.p.t.q. be dissolved?
Yes.
As a Hyaluronic Acid Filler, e.p.t.q. can be dissolved with Hyaluronidase when necessary.
A doctor should always examine the location and assess the filler before dissolving.
How long does it take to settle after injection?
Volume or shape changes are visible immediately after injection, but early swelling, tightness or needle marks may also be present.
Generally, wait approximately 1–2 weeks for swelling to decrease before reassessing the shape.
Some areas, such as the lips, may show more noticeable early swelling than others.
Can swelling occur after e.p.t.q.?
After treatment, there may be:
- Swelling
- Redness
- Needle marks
- Bruising
- Mild pain or tightness
The severity varies between individuals and injection sites.
If you experience progressively worsening severe pain, pale or abnormally discoloured skin, or vision-related symptoms, contact the clinic or seek medical attention immediately.
How can I check that e.p.t.q. is genuine?
Before injection, you can check details such as:
- The e.p.t.q. name
- S100 / S300 / S500 formulation
- 1.1 ml volume
- Lot number
- Expiry date
- JETEMA manufacturer information
- Thai label and importer information
- Matching information on the box and syringe
- Intact packaging
In Thailand, Aestema Co., Ltd. identifies itself as the official importer and distributor of e.p.t.q.
Inspect the product before injection at The Ality
Before treatment, you can inspect the actual product, including the box, formulation, Lot number and product details.
The box is opened for you to see before use, the product can be checked, and it is never secretly switched.
Beyond choosing how many cc to use, you should know which formulation is being used and whether its texture suits the area to be filled.
